Melva Kravitz, RN, Ph.D., is co-owner. Before
opening Little Dogs, Melva was Director of Nursing Research and Education
at Yale-New Haven Hospital and an Associate Professor at The Yale
School of Nursing in New Haven, CT. Melva received her Ph.D. in Nursing
from the University of Utah and worked as co-director of the Intermountian
Burn Unit at the University of Utah Hospital for many years before
leaving Salt Lake City in 1987. Her three children and her grandson,
Zachary, live in Salt Lake City so she decided to move back and start
a new career as a an owner of a boarding facility that does not use cages.
Jennifer Kravitz, B.S., is co-owner. Jennifer
graduated from Connecticut State University with majors in environmental
studies and philosophy. Jennifer moved to Salt Lake
from Dallas where she was employed by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter as a licensed financial advisor.
While in Dallas, she worked with Norma Gonzales, President of Petite
Pooch Chateau, who mentored her and inspired both Jennifer and Melva
to develop and implement the concept of cageless boarding at Little
Dogs Resort & Salon, Inc. in Salt Lake City.
